The A2C-SG2 is a signal conditioner / strain gauge amplifier that measures mV inputs. It is the successor to the popular A2C-SG improving upon the design. The A2C-SG2 offer complete IP67 ratings on all connectors. It can be used to interface strain gauge bridges or load cells directly. 2 channels are available to simultaneously measure the two inputs. A new special high speed mode is available for a single channel measurement with a data rate of 4800 samples per second. The sensor communicates the measurement to a host via CAN Bus, using a standard M12 connector which is also used in J1939 networks. The A2C-SG2 contains a high performance 24bit analogue to digital converter and a high performance DSP processor. It can be programmed / calibrated to output any kind of unit. Raw ADC values are also available. Alarms can be programmed to trigger when a given threshold limit is passed.

U2C
No prior knowledge of CAN bus communication is required! You can check the U2C programmer and software here:
Connect the U2C to your PC after installing the drivers and software. Connect the A2CTRI to the U2C and apply power.
Using the free software, set the mode of operation and the alarm thresholds. View real time data from the sensor and have it shown graphically.
Install the sensor in its application and verify that everything works as it should. It is still possible to connect the U2C and log the real world data, which can be used for analysis.
